Bathroom Badge ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using Bathroom Badge, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use Bathroom Badge:
- Account information — your name and email address when you create an account
- Location data — your device location to show nearby rated bathrooms on the map. Location is only accessed when you use the app and is not stored on our servers.
- Photos — images you voluntarily upload when submitting a bathroom rating
- Ratings and reviews — the bathroom ratings and comments you submit
- Usage data — general information about how you interact with the app, collected via Firebase Analytics
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the Bathroom Badge app and service
- To display nearby bathroom ratings based on your location
- To associate your ratings and reviews with your account
- To send you app updates and service communications
- To respond to support requests sent to support@bathroombadge.com
Third Party Services
Bathroom Badge uses the following third party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, and file storage. Firebase Privacy Policy
- Klaviyo — email marketing and communications. Klaviyo Privacy Policy
- Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze — direction services accessed when you tap navigation links. Subject to their respective privacy policies.
We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Bathroom ratings and reviews are retained indefinitely as they are anonymized community data. If you delete your account, your personal information (name, email, phone number) is permanently deleted within 7 business days. Your ratings remain but are fully anonymized.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. To delete your account and personal data, visit bathroombadge.com/cancel or email us at support@bathroombadge.com.
Children's Privacy
Bathroom Badge is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@bathroombadge.com and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
